Hi, i've been lurking and finally decided to say hi. 
I've been out of the whole GW scene for quite awhile (5 years or so me thinks), but one autumny evening i was bored so i got my stuff out and had a resurgence in interest as i looked at the awesome miniatures i still had! Anyway, i first started as wee lad in 1994 (2nd ed. 40k ), since then i tended to buy whatever models looked good to me at the time and loved the whole modelling/converting and painting them (never really got round to playing due to a lack of coherent force) - but ended up painting certain hq units/special characters for school friends.
Am currently finishing off a 2000pt Empire army - and then who knows?
other stuff - am currently studying medicine at university, enjoy big mountain sports and am sponsored to compete at a national level in downhill mountain biking and mountain boarding.
I do have one question: what happened to troll service? why can't i buy whatever sprue/part i want? it soo good for converting!

Lets face it, by the sounds of things some of you people couldn't complete a game of snakes and ladders without running off to the internet to whine that snakes are broken and ladders are too powerful...-Hymirl

Hey. I have no Idea what the troll service is-I started GW in 3rd ed 40k, so maybe that's why. They sell bitz packs now, like iron warrior helms or ork shields. Anywayz, welcome to dakka

Welcome to dak dak and they did away with selling most individual bits about two or three years ago.

I know it drives me insane not being able to buy one or two bits to make my guys stand out from the crowd but hey there is an upside there are other companies that do specialize in that just keep an eye out in dakka swap or check out thewarstore.com as they now have a few bits they sell separately.
