If i were to build a chaos lords base and shape to be around the basic size of a daemon prince, say on a huge pile of skulls or volcanic eruption, or some other crazyness, would it be leagal to play him as such? I've seen the Iron warriors dred daemon prince, and remember a time when more than 50 pts of wargear made a lord a prince regardless of size. I'm not looking for any unfair advantage, I just want my lord to be as bad ass as he used to be.

And whilst you're pointing and shouting at the boogeyman in the corner, you're missing the burglar coming in through the window.

Well, Duh! Because they had a giant Mining ship. If you had a giant mining ship you would drill holes in everything too, before you'd destory it with a black hole

Well, as long as the opponent knows what's up.

I think this is borderline 'doable' cause in the last edition, there were 'Lord' Daemon Prince...(the only requirement to be a Daemon Prince was to have 51+ points of daemonic gifts.)

So fluffwise you can justify it perfectly.

BUT, tounry-wise, it's up to the TO.
I don't think you should get too much QQ'ing in friendly games as long as the model takes up roughly the same area as a normal DP...and coverted nicely helps too.

This is a little story about four people named Everybody, Somebody, Anybody, and Nobody.
There was an important job to be done and Everybody was sure that Somebody would do it.
Anybody could have done it, but Nobody did it.
Somebody got angry about that because it was Everybody's job.
Everybody thought that Anybody could do it, but Nobody realized that Everybody wouldn't do it.
It ended up that Everybody blamed Somebody when Nobody did what Anybody could have done.

I expect a lot of people will QQ because it IS an advantage, and a rather unfair one at that.

Sorry, it's been a tiring day at work.
How is it an 'unfair' advantage?

He's going to model the dude so he's tall in bulky terrain on the base so that it takes up the same 'space' as a normal DP.

I guess pics are more important to the yes/no, rather than a vague description.

To be fair his body must take up the same amount. Its a cover-save issue

So you count the 'terrain' as part of the body.
'Scouts honor' on the OP's part, but I'm not seeing a huge issue here.
Just have to follow that the basing also counts for the body, and remember that through-out the game…etc.

You could say the opponent has an uncanny ability to ricochet shots off the base terrain into the Daemon Prince's eye.

As I said, it’s up to the opponent, if all things are clear and things look decent there shouldn’t be a problem. It’s (hopefully) a friendly game, but for tourneys, it’s a different matter, up to the TO.

If it looks nice as has the correct height and base size I doubt many TOs would not allow it. I certainly would.

In one game turn an Imperial guardsman can move 6", kill a few guys with his flamer, assault 6", kill two more guys with his bayonet, flee 12", regroup when assaulted, react 6", kill one more guy with his bayonet and then flee another 12".
So in one game turn an Imperial guardsman can move 42" and kill more than 5 people. At the same time a Chimera at top speed on a road can move 18"...

I'd be fine with it. I'm really dissatisfied with the new Chaos Lords and Sorcerers.

I might have to do something like this myself, actually.

Anuvver fing - when they do sumfing, they try to make it look like somfink else to confuse everybody. When one of them wants to lord it over the uvvers, 'e says "I'm very speshul so'z you gotta worship me", or "I know summink wot you lot don't know, so yer better lissen good". Da funny fing is, arf of 'em believe it and da over arf don't, so 'e 'as to hit 'em all anyway or run fer it.

exactly. Any issues can be taken up with a proper base. Additionally, a large banner or something can be used to represent the "doby" for shooting purposes. Just let your opponent know at the start of the game.
