Here are some pictures of my Emperor's Children. I started this army a month ago and have painted just over 1500 points. Sorry about the lighting, I will work on a better set up going forward.

I would say looks good - I can't be certain - very very low light - grab some brighter lights/lamps for the pics?

Yeah, looking at it again they are really dark. Doesn't help that part of the armor is black. Really darkens them up. I will have to go looking for a better light set up this weekend. Especially since I will be starting my LR!

Looks nice but there is quite alot of black. I've got very similiar purple on my csm if not the exactly the same (mine is linch purple and on top warlock purple). Your predator needs some kind of focal point.

Nice efforts. What are you using for the pink/purple colour?

Very impressive from what I can tell, given the low lighting. As asked, Im also interested in the pink/purple colour, since I got a mate who's also painting Emp's Children.

it almost looks red to say the least might be the pics....the conversions are cool though.

Have to agree with the lighting. However, they really do look good.

Just 1 thing, maybe it's just the lighting, but the bases look too bright to me, they take my eyes away from the model.

iluknisaa, I do like your EC paintjob, your purple is similar shade to mine but more coverage. The "aged" metal is really nice and the combination makes them look very old, maybe like they have been around for thousands of years!

I will move around some more lighting to get better pictures next time. Unfortunately it will be a week or so, the better half too my camera to Hawaii this morning.

The purple shading is a base of Lich Purple and then I mix 50/50 Lich Purple and Warlock Purple leaving a little edge the darker purple. Then I go over in Lich Purple, followed by a wash of Delvin Mud and then Lich Purple finishing highlight.

I wanted a lot of the armor to be black and I did a think line of gray on the edges. I can see that in the pictures but that is because I am looking for it. Hopefully with better lighting this will show through.

I noticed you didnt put any spikes on your termies. I just bought 2 of the new Chaos boxes (I had the old metal terminators, and figured it was time to upgrade), and was worried if they would look chaosy enough without them (since the new spikes are pretty ridiculous).

I see with yours you have their arms, umm, "spread out" so their shoulderpads are angled inwards (not saying thats bad, they actually look pretty cool). Is this what you had to do to fill the gaps where the spikes should go?

Also, how did you do the lightning claws?

I glued the arms without thinking about the spikes. That is why I don’t have a lot of spikes. I added the Mohawk spike on one. A spike from the Terminator Lord box set on another. I cut off a top knot and put it on the other terminator, and the Icon on the last. They do like kind of bland without something. The slot where the spikey racks go is not very deep or pronounced, you wouldn’t even know that something belongs there if you left them off.

Two of the Lightning claws are from the Terminator Lord set, the guy on the right and the one in the back with the Icon. The third Lightning claw (top knot guy in the back left) was from the regular SM termies. To make it look more Chaos I used some GS and attached some flayed skin and added scares (like Loucis the Eternal’s face). The guy in the front left I added some GS and made a face (like the face on the EC champions shoulder pad). I did a few more GS conversions like that as well as cut up some face guards and added drooping jaws line to the helmets. Made them look a little more Slaanesh like.

Once I get a better light set up I will take some more pictures so you can see them better.

Alright, thanks. For the record, I actually think the terminators look pretty damn good without the spikes. I might do that as well.
