here is my steel bretheren army list so far


hq:chaos lord 90pts w/term armor 30pts w/ combi wep 5 pts w/ deamon wep 25pts = 150 pts

eliets: 5 term. 150 pts w/all lighning claws 50pts = 200 pts

Troops:none

FA: 5 raptors 100 pts w/ icon of khorne = 120 pts

HS:5 havocs 75 pts w/5 meltaguns =125 pts

totall = 600 pts ~

You are going to need some troops for just about every game type played. Even combat patrol needs some troops.

At 600 points it's hard to work termies into the list. Not impossible, but 6 termies is very expensive.

If you want tough infantry, get a unit of plasma plague marines for the lord to walk, or better, to ride with.

Get another vanilla group troop choice to bring some shooty.

If you have any room left, then think about termicide (3 termies drop strike with combi-meltas and chainfists) to kill tanks.

In terms of Steel Legion fluff and what is needed, i'd strongly advise getting: 2 squads of CSM's and 3 Rhino's, the third Rhino would be for the havocs, whilst the marines can be kitted out however you like, this would get you over 1000pts...

If you get this far I'd add a Land Raider for the termies as they will be unable to do anything the turn they DS and would get shot to pieces advancing up the board

Basically, as rashad said you NEED troops, and if your stick with your fluff (and just to work well) i'd get some tanks...

ps. you may consider playing you Havocs as Chosen so they can infiltrate...

does anyone have a prob with my raptors i think the should stay becaus it says the youse fast attack in the novels and in dex it says rhinos and pods. so i think im going to keep them no matter what i like how they play
