Hello dakkaites,

my friend and i are starting up BFG, and were wondering what size of flying stand a cruiser should use. I am thinking that they should use the small ones, but we are still not too sure. Any help would be awesome.

many thanks

To be clear I am that friend, and I am wondering more from an aesthetic point of view. It just looks weird that escorts and cruisers use the same base size.

Cruisers generally use the small flying base, but you are allowed to use either for grand cruisers IIRC. It's only matters for ordnance and Nova cannon, as all other measurement is done stem to stem.

The idea is that it takes extra effort and time to write properly, and they’d rather save the time. If you can still be understood, what’s the harm? While most of the time a sloppy post CAN be understood, the use of proper grammar, punctuation, and spelling is generally seen as respectable and desirable on most forums. It demonstrates an effort made to be understood, and to make your post an easy and pleasant read. By making this effort, you can often elicit more positive responses from the community, and instantly mark yourself as someone worth talking to.

Yeah, cruisers are supposed to use small bases. I think there's a kind of Ork cruiser that can use either small or large bases though, due to some "tractor field" rule or something, but I need to look into it because I'm not sure.
