Ok, have gotten quite a bit further with this project, for one I now have too many tanks for 1500 pts

The list is as follows. Coy cmd plus meltas in chimera, Vets shotgun/melta and Vets las/plas in chimera. 2 Russ Executioner, Russ, 2 Hydra. Vendetta and 3 Sentinels to finish. There are a few bits of repair to do on the Inf, and the last few to paint up. The Tanks are getting sprayed next week, and It will take about that long to touch in the details after that. It's not like me to get this close to finishing a project before starting on others (the Tau are coming along, and the Marines are getting finished off slowly. The WoC have no chance )

This reminds me of the old 1980s cartoon Bravestarr.

My thoughts exactly, just couldn't remember the name.

Where'd you get the Stryker-ish things from? I've been looking for something like that for my motorised IG army.

2nd the call for the "stryker"ish vehicles.

I've seen something like them before (chassis) - the wheels are ork though, that much I recognise.

That is some great stuff! The only thing that I think is off is that the Leman Russ stand-ins look just as armoured as the Chimeras.

The vehicle hulls are old Marpeth SKD's, which you can get here http://www.the-baggagetrain.co.uk/shop/page/?sessid=YkRYKrKqj6qzpCxWggUflT3fMSoUyR9b3IaJc1HSqrMpKmFkJG57ShLLDsHHIvKx&shop_param= . The website isn't the best, but email him requesting the Skd bits and he'll sort you out. Very helpfull chap, would recommend sending a picture just to avoid confusion. Feel free to use one of mine as reference.

The wheels are from the Ork trukk, though I would recommend finding another source or casting up some alternatives...unless like me you can barter the kit remains away for more wheels. The vision slits are just the edges from the newer modular movement trays, then add FW baggage and stowage to taste.

The reason I've not visually up armored the Russ' is to keep the airportable theme, I just explain it away with improved materials used.

Thanks for all the positive feedback guys

Space Cowboys...I like it! Nice conversions on the guardsmen, much better than the cookie cutter cadians I see (and sadly have) all over the place. Its refreshing to see new cool ideas coming up like this one. Moar pics please!

diggin the infantry, and the only thing i dont really like about the armor is that the russes and chimeras look too similar to me...

Several companies make replacement wheels for LAV which should do nicely for these vehicles.

Ok, it's been some time. With the new FW vehicles coming out for the Elysian, and my Airportable guys I thought I had better get off my arse and ge some more done to my vehicles. To that end I've got the camo scheme airbrushed on and am ready to start doing the boring stuff like getting the wheels back to black and painting stowage. I also have 4 of the Terminator HK's so I'm probably going to add some more squads so that I can do a flying circus act too. Any way here are some more WiP's
