* If you hate stupid questions, don't read this...I see a lot of listing of players having X pt SM army. When totaling up all of your figures, how are points determined. It's everything, not just your game night army?
I have a Inquisitor lord Figure. He has Terminator armor ,power glove, several digital weapons, Psycannon and a bionic leg. When I field him I don't use all of his gear. No digital weapons or bionics. I would give him a stormbolter.
The army points used in games is less than maxing out everything on all models. A gamer at the store, says his army is larger because he gives them ALL the options, all the grenades they can add to the figure. I got a Lot of bits on ebay for my WH & DH vehicles. The SoB fluff says "the vehicles are rolling shrines" ,the decorations can be used as "Blessed Hull". I do not use blessed hull/ammo in my army list.
Am I making any sense?

If i'm saying how many points of Tau i have, i wouldn't include any upgrades or weapons in that. I'd be going by base model cost.

I wouldn't say i have a x pt tau army, because the largest i play outside of apocalypse is 2000 points. I would however say that i have a 2500 point eldar army, because i do. It comes with very few upgrades.

Truly this applies to those of us with more models then we can field in a normal 500-2500 point game, to determine how many points you have just take all your workable units and add up their points, that is why i have a 4000 point BT army.

You may use anything I post, just remember to give me credit if used somewhere else.
