Me and a few of my good 40k friends have decided to play a tournament. Its 1500 points and we play annihilation style, we play till one army is destroyed or someone gives up. Some other things that should be known, we usually play on a slightly smaller than standard game board (most of the time), my opponents are necrons, tyranids, space marines, or eldar. We dont play with objectives. ( if that wasnt made clear by annihilation style rules) So i need a list to take them all down. Also i am not interested fluff wise, so i dont run a straight one legion army, but i do prefer to use cult troop choices, but i am open to negotiation. Usually this list works pretty well for me, but id like to hear input.

DP - wings, nurgle, warptime - 175

DP - wings, nurgle, warptime - 175

Landraider - 220

3x Obliterators - 225

Defiler +2 CC arms - 150

10x zerkers, champion w/ pfist - 250

10x Thousand sons AS w doombolt - 277

Rhino for sons - 35

I also have the tough choice between Nurgle or Tzeentch on the daemon princes. they are both the same points so which is better?

2 CSM troops in 1500 O_o?

In 1500 you only really need 1 prince.
A single raider is easily countered.
Your HS seems unfoccussed, pick 1 thing and spam it.
1k sons are just
I've done playtesting with them and they never fail to dissapoint.

I can agree my HS is a bit unfocused, unfortunetly thats what i posses for models. I generally put zerkers in the landraider, then let obliterators, defiler and land raider spam from a distance. Then once they get close enough zerkers and daemon princes charge while heavy support blasts away anything not in combat. I do have a second landraider, so i could try to do something with that.

I can agree 1k sons are sketchy, the reason i chose them for this list was ap3 bolters for anti marines and anti necrons. What would you suggest besides them? i think i have enough for another set of zerkers or a squad of plague marines.

I usually like to roll 2 HQ's, im open to discussion on what i should roll for the other DP. Another HQ or more troops?

I would suggest taking more troops choices instead of the ik sons because they are way too pricey at this point level for what they do, and more infantry will be necessary in any game with objectives (2/3 of all games) and will help to deal with any horde type army.

Also I agree that two princes are overkill. Take one, try it out a bunch, then add the prince back in if you really feel that you need it. the saved points on the prince can easily go a long way into more CSM's and even dropping the landraider would help on that front. The zerkers can just go into the rhino that would have been for the 1k sons. That's the rout I'd go.

If you are taking 2 princes at 1500, rather than drop one, how about going the other way and picking up a Greater daemon? 3 T6 daemons at 1500 is pretty mean.

More 'Zerkers would be nice in this list, but plague will also be good.
