The Abomination looks pretty cool. I can use all the armored zombies in RPGS even if my group never plays but... we actually did play quite a lot of Black Plague.

Of all the Zombicide games I have and my love of D&D, I don't know why I never picked up the fantasy version of this game.

I might have to grab me a copy of this.

It never ends well

Anticipation for this made me finally order the Thunder Cats sets... Glad I waited. Found them cheap on EBay with free shipping. Hopefully I can find the Rio capoeira girl cheap in a couple months.

Yeah the Black Plague minis have served as both PC's and bad guys in my pathfinder games. The zombies are universally useful. Haven's used the orc zombies yet, but most like will at some point. Massive Darkness minis have seen action as well (1st edition).

The zombies in this set look even better. Armored zombies are something I need.

We played a Black plague campaign. Basically, Just keeping equipment in between doing all the missions, but starting over xp wise... which meant having to scrounge at the start of some missions for weapons since the heroes had some items, they could not use due to not having enough xp. If a character died in a mission, then next mission they started with base equipment... if the group failed a mission then we had to redo that mission with starting equipment. It was a fun experience. The Wonderwoman/ Princess Ayala character was pretty powerful (as was Xena) being able to kill Fatties with basic weapons thanks to their strength. The other standout was the troll who could regenerate wounds...

Looking forward to this, though we haven't played through my copy of Wolfsburg or any of Green Horde yet.

I have to hand it to Black Plague: it had some killer giant monster / Abomination designs (the Minotaur and Rat are my favorites,*) and the game itself got more playtime than any other KS miniature game I've ever backed. For those who play fantasy RPGs with miniatures, it was a gold mine for NPCs, characters, and, of course, zombies. (Although unlike most of the heroes, the zombies have a pretty pronounced cartoony look.) Miniature casting quality for BP was among the best I've seen for PVC miniatures, too, right up there with the Gears of War boardgame. (Sadly, through Z: Invader I learned that CMON can't be relied on to maintain that level of quality. I didn't find Invader's PVC to be as bad as some people did, but overall, it definitely wasn't on the same level of crisp detail as Black Plague's.)

I still won't be going in on this one, because much as I liked Black Plague, sci-fi is where my interest lies. For those who will be taking the plunge, all the best and I hope you get Black Plague quality for your money. If the Abominations are as good as Black Plague's were, I might even pick up a few on eBay some day.

*The Minotaur would make a hell of a Chaos Demon, and the mutated giant Rat creature would fit wonderfully into a Skaven or Veer-myn (Mantic's space Skaven) force.

I guess since I have decided to go in on this the 2 anthro figures are growing on me. They will fit in with the thundercats, which arrived yesterday. I am getting a game of Green Horde in this Friday.

I do like fox-girl better than the Tiger guy. Considering how many survivors I have between Black Plague and Green Horde (and Wolfsburg) and various guest artist boxes, I wonder how many more survivors will be unlocked in this one. I am sure we will get a Witcher tribute, but wonder what else will get unlocked...

You can also see the images on Twitter. Which I signed up for just for this...

Hopefully the new Assassin's Creed Cambodian expansion board game waits a couple weeks after Zombicide.

They are all hitting right now because Adepticon starts today/tomorrow, so they are out in the public and showing off pictures and talking it up. I'm watching this, Battletech and also looking at some vendors who only do website sales when they are at big conventions like Adepticon. Sucks that it's also my anniversary week, big money being spent in too many directions.

still waiting on the marvel zombicide myself. That one is taking awhile. I don't think I wanna put the excess money into this one.

The fantasy Zombicide was my krytonite with the Wild West one for extra models for Shadows of Brimstone. Lol, I think I need to cut back on the lifestyle games.

Looks like players get guard NPCs - living versions of the Zombies

That's really nice addition to the series. Also makes this a lot more tempting as those guard designs are great.

He he heh.

I don't know if I'll want this core pledge or not, but more of the same style of fantasy minis has me intrigued.

Followers sound cool.

We got to play Green Horde last night. Added the Zombie minotaur, troll and giant to the card deck. We played 3 times... and got our butts kicked 3 times...

The players were:
A plague doctor guy (forgot his name), Panthro, Wonderwoman, Freddy Mercury and Finarton the giant, It was a fun night but we lost all 3 games we played.

Cant wait for White Death. I forsee many more fun nights in the future.
