I have my choices done to either the empire or dwarfs. In 40k I play tau and i like how i can basically wait for the enemy to come to me and then i unload a lot of fire on them. So I am persuaded in that sense to go with he dwarfs, but i like how all the empire models are plastic and how they have cavalry. But, I like how the dwarfs have the cannons bolt throwers and catapult and have the runs. Finally, I was going to use them in the same army but i asked games-workshop and they said I am unable to do that. So which would you guys suggest for me with this info that I have given you? Any answers or responses would be great. Thanks again.

Empire: Has several "interesting" varieties of War Machines, though the main things I see put to use are Cannons and Hellblaster Volley Guns (Mortars I also see suggested online, if never in stores). Gun-lines are cheaper, I think. Can actually take magic, which opens a whole new phase to you.

Dwarves: Much more durable, can have magic-attack War Machines, is more accurate with their handguns, can shut out enemy magic easier.

Empire has much more potential to be mobile like 40K Tau.

London (work) / Pompey (live, from time to time)

Depends how gunline you want an army really

with empire, the mortar is great for unit killing, but allways take a cannon for chariots and monsters (or roaming characters lol)

Hellblasters tend to keep a large area clear of enemy models due to the sheer damage it can cause.

If your going gunline then an engineer should be a must, but i would also take 2 wizards to make sure you can cope against magic.

Use a gunline of handgunners with archers.

throw in a small unit or 2 of 5 knights as a counter charge unit.

that should give you a stable army, high elves also work to some extent, but rely on ranged weapons + sheer magic assault.

Suffused with the dying memories of Sanguinus, the warriors of the Death Company seek only one thing: death in battle fighting against the enemies of the Emperor.

Thank you for all your help so far and if this helps you guys give suggestions i do not really care for magic other than if i am playing against someone who has a steam tank since i do not know what i would use with dwarfs to get rid of it.

Automatically Appended Next Post:
The one thing i do not like about the empire hellblaster Volley Gun is the fact that if you get an 1s you have to roll and depending on the number the cannon can blow up etc.
