Haven't played fantasy in a little while and need to rebuild all my armies. Looking at an infantry heavy Dark Elf list that won't completely ruin my composition etc. I'd like a third ranked unit, but I'm trying to avoid khainites.

Suprised you went for Corsairs over repeater x-bowmen.

Personally I'd go with x1 unit of 20 corsairs if you are after more combat, much more likely to stick around.

Its for no solid tactical reasoning. I just like the corsair model more. The plan is to use them to screen the BG, but it'll depend how much my local group has learned about the movement phase. If they still just push units forward I would probably be able to take the block instead of screeners.

Your Dreadlord doesn't have a weapon. You might want to switch out the Potion of Strength for the Crimson Death.

As Waaagh_Gonads said, Corsairs really aren't that good, Repeater Crossbowmen would be a better option.

I'm not really a fan of Black Guard without the Banner of Hag Graef. If you get charged (which isn't unlikely with a M5 unit that can't flee as a charge reaction), then your Black Guard will get killed pretty fast, leaving almost nothing to strike back. This is why I think you should drop the second unit of Black Guard.

With the points saved, you could get some Cold One Knights (without anything, or with the Banner of Cold Blood).
