Just found out about all that nice stuff on FW that I'd never looked into before, and printed myself off some rules for big trakks.

Anyone currently using anything like these or have any opinions on them?

I was going to scratch build a battle wagon, but I think I might scratch build myself 3 big trakks while Im at it!

Full on, Full on!

Big trakks are a nice medium in between trukks and BW, I still like BW better, I'm not sure if big trakks are open topped.

- The face of an opponent when you lose five dozen models and say "that's it?", priceless.

There're some pretty great rules out there, just be aware that they aren't standard 40k units and you need your opponents permission to field them iirc.
Most of them are more expensive pointwise than they're worth, but big trakks look great to me as well.
There used to be some trukk-sized squiggoth rules I liked too... maybe I'll go look them up.

Very cool models and a great scratch build project, but I wouldn't build one without designing it to 'count as' a trukk or BW (perhaps via some magnetised swappable bits?) for ordinary games and tourneys - it just wouldn't get enough play otherwise.

Magnetised bits seem to be rather popular these days! Pretty cool like, but too much effort for me personally. I like modeling and all but I wouldn't have much need for magnets myself.

Most of the gaming I do is all friendly and non-serious so I'd probably get to use it quite a bit.

I reckon it's potentially a lot more 'full-on' than a battle wagon, due to the fact you can have way bigger guns! I dont like the kill-cannon on the battle wagon. I'd much rather take a looted wagon with a BOOMGUN! lol, but the super cannon is just a notch better again.

Squiggoths are class also, as far as looks and presence go, but I havent had a chance to look at any rules for them yet. Anyone know them or have any links?

Big tracks can take a hard case which means they can either be open topped or not. Both good in their own way depending on what you put in/on it.
