I am taking part in a 4 way battle with 2 teams of 2. I caan guess that one of my opponents is space wolves. I have gone for the ol' orkish blitzkrieg.
HQ Ghazghul Thraka
HQ Big Mek with Burna, bosspole and KFF
340 points
Elites. 9 nobs in 'eavy armour= 1 painboy, all different, including one waagh banner, to share wounds around
535 points
in trukk with Ghaz with RPJ, ram and boarding plank.
50 points
3 nobz in 'eavy armour (to get battlewagon) 1 PK, 1 BC
105 points
Troops
14 shootaboys, 3 BS, 1 nob with PK and BP
144 points
All in battlewagon with lobba, BS and boarding plank and the big mek.
115 points
12 slugga boys in trukk with RPJ, ram and boarding plank x2
162 points x2
total cost so far 1333.
I am a little worried about my lack of distractions. I was going to run the battlewagon and the trukks up together with the less important trukks in the front or should the battlewagon go first to take the hits?
Anyway I have 167 points left. I am deciding whether to go for the orky answer which is 'more boys' or to get some deffkoptas in there and another nob. Any opinions?

I would drop the 3 man nob squad, because even if you get the BW as a dedicated transport the boys CAN'T start in it. I would consider also ditching Gaz, because at that low of a point level he is a hindrance. As for the list in general it seems to lack focus. Here is a list I came up with it is based off of speed.
HQ:
Warboss w/shoota & PK
+EA, AS, BP, CBB.
Big Mek w/choppa & KFF
+EA, CBB
Elites:
Burnas x12
Troops:
Nobz x7 + pain boy w/2 BC, 3 Choppa, 2 PK, 5 slugga, 1 combi-skorcha, 1 combi-rokkit
+EA, Waaagh Banner
10 choppa/slugga boyz +nob w/PK
+Trukk w/RPJ
11 choppa/slugga boyz +nob w/PK
+Trukk w/RPJ
11 choppa/slugga boyz +nob w/PK
+Trukk w/RPJ
10 choppa/slugga boyz
+Trukk w/RPJ
Fast:
3 Deffkoptaz w/TLRL
3 Deffkoptaz w/TLRL
The basic theory is that the warboss will ride w/the nobz, and the mek will ride with the 11 man squad. The 10 man without a nob will give up the trukk to the burnas for a little drive by flammin'. I also added the combi weapons to piss off your opponent when you start wound allocation. Then the deffkoptaz can fly around and assassinate space wolves all day. I hope this helps.

The elite nobz would be better in a battlewagon, you don't want a paper trukk falling about with your elite c.c unit. Not to mention ghaz has slow and purposeful and will roll 3D6 (I.C character) for movement, slowing the unit down.
I'm a bit confused about the rest of the list. You've taken 3 nobz to get a battlewagon, but appears all heavy slots are free. You have 14 boyz, which cannot take three special weapons btw as its one special per 10 orks. And you only have one troop choice.
A mech list like rednekgunner suggested would be better, except with more transport for the burnas and nobz and maxing those trukk units out.

BW's: 1 is a joke, 2 is a threat. Ghaz is not over priced at 1500, I have shoehorned him in at 1250 before lol. Mek is just a mobile KFF, drop the burna. Drop that 3 nob squad and put the BW's in HS slots. Get ghazzy and nobs in a BW and either a big squad of boyz, or some burna boyz in a second BW. Fill out remaining points with trukk squads and maybe 3 deffkopta's with TLRL fielded seperate. Also go all slugga choppa, shooty boyz are a waste when you are moving a vehicle too fast to shoot. And make the BW's the basic transport style of builds. Personal preference may vary but they should cost around 125 if your group allows deffrolla against vehicles, about 110 if not.

Hmmmm my group has changed the battle to 1250. I thought other units could start in a BW. I will put the BW in HS (I was hoping to squeeze in some looted vehicles). I wish to god I had a unit of burna boys and more deffkoptas but I just don't. I do have a spare proxy battlewagon I can use. I really like Ghaz but I have no problem with ditching him. Using him makes my army feel like a carbon copy army anyway. As for the shootas, I thought they might be good for holding objectives. As for troop choices, with a warboss nobz count as a troops choice. I only have 3 deffkoptas (AOBR) and a couple of warbuggies. I do have extra trukks though. Damm, a recount. BW has 1 lobba, 1 BS and boarding plank
bw 19 ard boys 1 weirdboy.
Bw has 1 BS, 1 Rokkit, grot oiler BP
trukk with 12 sluggas 1 BS, 1 nob w PK and BP
trukk with 12 sluggas, 1 nob w PK and BP
3 deffkoptas with TL Rokkits.

The big mek with the nobz is odd, once those nobz bail out the big mek's KFF won't work in combat. The mek isn't that good in combat either. If you keep the mek in the wagon you're only giving cover saves to whatever is within 6" and the wagon, they'll probably be in close combat anyway.
Weirdboy is a poor HQ choice.

so I discovered. I just like the idea. In the game he teleported the squad of 'ard boys to the table edge. Not so cool. The mek did get into combat and I missed the burna but the squad was wiped out anyway.
The map was a nightmare. It was like city fight. It even had a river going through the middle. I liked the deffkoptas although I am debating whether to stick a powerklaw on one. I might stick the mek with the ard boys next time and leave the nobz alone. It would have been good to have a warphead or old zoggy cause there were lots of IC's. I suppose I could be all old fashioned and go with a warboss next time. Unfortunately he had a runepriest who negated my ZZap against his land raider. I managed to get a zap against him but rolled a 1 on damage. Oh well, all loessons learned.

A buzzsaw on a deffkopter can be useful, if you miss with rokkits then charge in and chop it up!

2000 point list
ghazz and 10 nobz in BW with RPJ, BP 2xBS
Big Mek KFF, Bosspole, Burna and 19 'ard boys. 1 nob with PK and BP in BW with RPJ, BP, 2xBS
standard trukk mob in trukk with RPJ, ram and BP
standard trukk mob with RPJ, ram and BP
20 sluggas. 1 nob with PK and bosspole
in BW with boarding plank and 2xBS
Fast attack. 3 deffkoptas with TL rokkits
1 deffkopta with TL rokkit
1 deffkopta with TL rokkit.
I was hoping to distract him with the deffkoptas while everything else trundelled up the field. I hoped that with three Battlewagons he would struggle to stop them, especially if they were protected by a KFF. Not fancy but we'll see what happens. I am hoping those damm long fangs are going to struggle a bit (not that I could make an armour save if I wanted to).

We ended up being against Chaos. I discovered that an average boy after the first turn of charge really struggles to damage a plague marine. A power weapon really helps (burna). It also seemed to me that a 12 man trukk squad is pretty fragile and can't really achieve anything by itself apart from be a speed bump.
I am really debating keeping the nob squad. It is a lot of points and I think it is a phenomenal unit but it does cut down on the number of troops you can have. I haven't math hammered it though.
