So I've looked around the forums and I think I have the answer for this but....

A few days ago my friend and I talked about my fledgling IG army and how many flamers I had. He joked that I should bring an immolator next time and as a reply I looked at a WH codex. I pointed out that as allies I couldn't have HS units and he looked it over and said "But the Celestians are an elite choice and can get an immolator as a transport"



We looked at the new IG faq and it read that when IG are allies troops can pick up dedicated chimeras as part of the troop slot.

So, uh, yeah because it's an elite unit option would an immolator count as the elite dedicated transport or does it break the no HS rule?

It's not taking up a heavy support choice when used to transport celestians, so it can be taken as allies for guard.

Also, Dominions must have a rhino or immolator transport, so you can possibly get two immolators right there. One with Elite, one with Fast Attack.

A Cannoness or Palatine can take a celestian retinue so that makes 3 Immolators.
