Hey!
So I've read the rules about the Paskquisher(Vanquisher + Commander Pask) and some people say it's a terrible tank.
Now, I don't think that the ability to destroy any enemy tank on the table top on turn 1 is terrible.
Sooo...I just wanted to know what y'all think about the Paskquisher, and maybe some tactics and tips!
Cheers guys!

205 points minimum for one shot at BS4 is a terrible tank.
If you want to run pask, run him in an executioner. If you want to run a vanquisher... well, that's your call, but when you weigh what you get for the price they come up short compared to a demolisher, or a couple medusas.

Except with the prevalence of cover saves and no AP 1... Good luck actually killing a tank on turn one. Now pask in a punisher can be down right nasty against monsterous creatures... but thats about all I'd use him for.

This debate has beren done to death. I ignore half of the advice given on forums and test things out for myself. I use
Leman Russ Exterminator, Pask, Lascannon Hull, Heavy Bolter Sponsons, XAmr 250
The few times I posted my list with this configuration I was told how awful it was. Yet when I play it in my lost it excells at what it was designed to do, albeit it is very expensive. Ir still anchors my backfield admirably - my other two HS slots are Manticores.
Pask can work fine with a Vanquisher, Punisher or Exterminator. It all depends on the rest of the list how effective it will be when fielded. Saturate the table with prime targets and it woill survive to do damage.

Sure you have a chance to kill a tank on turn one, but the same could be said for a manticore, MBT, Medusa, Basilisk, etc. The problem is the chance of succeeding isn't that great even with Pask (cover saves, no ap1 etc). Its also expensive and one weapon destroyed result really hurts. Some games it will do great but there will be just as many where it fails to contribute much to the fight for its cost. Mind you its not something your opponent is likely to ignore and could devote more resources to it than they should. I have one and use it in fun games, especially against guys I know that use land raiders. Its amusing how much they fear it when it really isn't a great tank.

Way to specialized. If you take it to a tournament Murphy's law says you will fight nothing but Tyranids, Orks army lists that have nothing with an AV over 10, and chaos army lists with no vehicle tougher than a rhino.
Pask costs a lot of points for 1 less inch on a scatter die when he is put into an executioner. For 10 more points you could just add plasma cannon sponsoons instead and then really watch MEQ units squirm.
The unit Pask improves the most is the punisher with heavy bolter sponsoons and the hull mounted heavy bolter. It's absolute death for low AV vehicles or monstrous creatures.

Chaos isn’t a pit. Chaos is a ladder. Many who try to climb it fail, and never get to try again. The fall breaks them. And some are given a chance to climb, but refuse. They cling to the realm, or love, or the gods…illusions. Only the ladder is real. The climb is all there is, but they’ll never know this. Not until it’s too late.
