So, I was thinking of something the other day, and it occured to me that somethings amiss in the Warp.

Necrons, Space Marines, and dare I say, even Orks (though randomly) can all be teleported off the board and then placed anywhere, within restriction, back on the board.

Now this brings to mind some confusion as to why the one army that should have absolute and unparalleled access to that ability doesnt: Chaos Marines!

I mean, honestly, the ones who claim power in the Warp itself cant even use its energy to teleport around the field of battle? That's a little ridiculous!

Now, limitations on Eldar and Dark Eldar I can see, because of where the Webway exits out, but again....it just doesnt make sense!

Im sure Im not the first to think of this, but what do you all think of it?

Despite living in the Warp, Chaos doesn't really have the resources to reliably teleport wherever they want.

What befuddles me is how the Grey Knights, who use teleportation more often and more reliably than any imperial force, can only get so far as a basic deepstrike.

Thats true too.

Im not suggesting everything be able to teleport, maybe even just the Sorcerers or something. I mean, geez, they can on DoW games, why not anywhere else? lol

Well on the Necron note they don't teleport through the warp. They bend space-time to move one place to another.

Chaos marines draw power from the warp, but by their nature, have absolutly no control over the warp at all. Quite the opposite actually.
Though chaos termies can still deepstrike anyway, so it's not like they have less ability than their imperial equivilent.

With orks, even too many is not enough!

I suppose the powers in the Warp would be more inclined to let those who worship them to pass with more ease than the followers of the Emperor or otherwise......

I doubt it.

Remember that Chaos is still Chaos. The Gods themselves are fickle in nature, as are their servants. They're just as likely to let them pass as they are to rend them limb from limb.

Some people play to win, some people play for fun. Me? I play to kill toy soldiers.
