I plan in the future to start a Khorne Chaos Marines army, and want to have it highly converted to have them very unique. I'm thinking about getting a couple Warriors of Chaos Chosen heads sprues and one or two Chaos Mutations sprues. And I might possibly get the giant long axe sprue thing ( I don't remember what it's called.) also from Warriors of Chaos to use for my Lord's Bloodfeeder. Any other suggestions?

Paint em red!... That aside, I suggest getting some Bloodthirsters for demons if you want demons at all or maybe just using their swords as power weapons. It'd be an awesome touch.

I say use chaos warriors from fantasy with marine arms. I did that with my old noise marines and thought they were really cool.

You get ton's of nice head's too.

Oh, it's a tad pricey but I adore the model, the FW khorne daemon prince.

Well yeah, but the standard kit Warriors of Chaos heads look so much like the normal Marine heads that they wouldn't really catch the eye very well.

Eh really? I thought that they looked more like pre-heresy helm's with horn's. Regular CSM head's just looked to me like it's a loyalist helm with horn's on it.

You could have them heavily mutated "kinda like beast's of anhiliation" even going so far as to use bloodletter arm's and head's.

How good at green stuff are you? I got some loyalist scum marine's I might exprement on to make them look a tad Khornate, like helm's and stuff.

But sadly all I've ever done are gas masks for guardsmen and some Slannesh marine conversion's. -The snout looking head's and few other thing's-

Not very good at Greenstuff yet. All I can do well is some minor Nurgle stuff. I wanted to get the Chaos Mutations prue or two and use those bits on some Champions. And yeah I don't want to get the normal Warriors of Chaos because I would probably end up using the heads. I might put the Chosen heads on my Berzerkers so they are somewhat unique.

If you want to do Khorne just try some minor Mutations on the Lords and Stuff, and add in a lot of Blood. I don't think I've seen anything Khorne with many mutations. The trick with the Blood is not to go Overboard. Otherwise, I've found GW's Tutorial on making Blood Effects working very well.

Lots of good Conversions there. I especially like the Double-Bladed Chainaxes.

Hope this helps. My Army is Tzeentch, so it's a Tad (or a lot) different from Khorne, so I'm not exactly an expert on Khorne Units.

I always thought trying to do lots of different close combat weapon types would work well for khorne. Not just axes and glaives, but Maces and morning stars.

Maybe something like that klingon weapon (StarTrek not a Turd) don't know what its called.

But if everyone has different weapon they will all seem individual because of different fighting styles.

The Klingon weapon is called a Bat'leth, I think.

I second the idea of using WHFB Chaos warrior heads on them. I've been using the Warrior and Knight heads on some terminators that I'm making, and they look awesome. Some of them won't fit on the termies without being filed down at the back a bit, though.

As for weapons, I'd try and get Ork bits and use their weapons for the marines. They look primitive and barbaric, which is a good look for Khorne.

i play a khorne Chaos marine army, and to give it that unique feel i used probably all the bits from 2 possessed marine boxes. i am a huge supporter of possessed marines. the box comes with tons of different arms, heads and torso's. i don't actually thing they were ever designed to be a playable unit seeing how their cost is so close to that of termie's but they are no where near as good. GW produced the possessed marine box just for the conversion and bits potential if you ask me.
