Hey guys, some of you may have seen my burrowy bugs post on the tactics board and this is the tentative list I've come up with. As a disclaimer, while I want to win some games, this doesn't have to be an OMG tournament army. This is a more fun themed army.
HQ:
Tyranid Prime, Lashwhip and Bonesword, Scything Talons, Adrenal Glands and Toxin Sacs
Troops:
6x Warriors with Lash whip and boneswords, scything talons, adrenal glands and toxin sacs
5x Warriors with dual boneswords, scything talons, adrenal glands and toxin sacs
5x Warriors with Dual sets of scything talons, adrenal glands and toxin sacs
Fast Attack:
6x Raveners with rending claws and scything talons
6X Raveners with rending claws and scything talons
Heavy Support
Trygon Prime with Adrenal Glands and Toxin sacs
Trygon Prime with Adrenal Glands and Toxin Sacs
1835 pts.
Any thoughts? I'd have 105 pts left if I dropped the second Trygon to a mawloc. In theory the warriors would be popping out of the ground from the Trygon tunnels but since there's no way I can assure that I'm sure that probably two groups would be foot slogging.

may i say i like your list a lot purly because its a death from below, i am considering death from the sky. Drop pods, and drop bombs with the occasional trygon to f gak up,
but let me run this by you, how do you plan on hurting a land raider.
Automatically Appended Next Post: all you have is 2 trygons to popp land raiders. and then on the off chance you play against a monolith. any plan thier, i assume kill everything else.

A fair and true point on the Landraider and general AV 14. I kinda hoped that two Trygon Primes would deal some general mayhem. I could drop a unit of Raveners and some other randomness and grab a third.

You cant assault on the same turn as subterranean assault, so those warriors are going to be sitting there looking very vulnerable for that turn. Their armour isnt great so they will probably get shot to pieces, not to mention the pounding theyre going to get foot-slogging across the board when they turn up before your trygons. It would probably be an idea to give them some sort of shooting attack so that they can at least have some effect on the game before some of them bite it. Deathspitters are good for 5pts.

taking up the mission
Polonius wrote:Well, seeing as I literally will die if I ever lose a game of 40k, I find your approach almost heretical. If we were to play each other in a tournament, not only would I table you, I would murder you, your family, every woman you ever loved and burn down your house. I mean, what's the point in winning if you allow people that don't take the game seriously to live? |

Again, another true point, I could drop the second Trygon to a mawloc and give them deathspitters. My biggest problem I think is AV14. Though you bring up a very good and valid point with them getting shot to pieces I don't want swarms and I don't want to fly so my options for getting what I want are limited. I was hoping that enough things will pop up to force them to split their shots up.
