Any idea when official notices start getting posted about locations? Or have I just missed them. It is a 2500 pts tournament in two months afterall, people have to get their lists together and possibly test them.

Q: How many of a specific demographic group are required to carry out a simple task?
A: An arbitrary number. One to carry out the task in question, and the remainder to act in a manner stereotypical of the group.

You must be new to the 'ard boyz.. Sorry the post made me laugh at the thought of GW giving us 2 months of list playtesting.. Thats not how GW works :p
Last year was pretty good with what, 2 weeks notice? The other years we were lucky to get 24 hours notice.. Indeed in year 2 we got less than 8 hours notice of the missions! The ones the stores had were wrong

Nice, guess I'll put together an 'Ard Boyz think tank locally to game them when they come.
Would love to know locations though, if the semi-finals prize support is the same.

They will go up on the website, doubt they will make it to White Dwarf, as the lead time is much greater. Expect that most places that ran it before will probably run it again. You can influence that by talking to your local store, and making sure they talk to their trade sales rep and get on the list.
Regional sites will probably be similar to last years, but again, GW is looking for stores with the space, tables, scenery, and manpower to run regionals, so if you have a store that could do it, talk to them about it.
Players that want their FLGS to run 'ardboyz might also think about helping out ahead of time with some of the work to get ready for it. Offer some hours of work to get scenery made, set up the tournament, etc. Especially at the regional level, this is a lot of work.

....and lo!.....The Age of Sigmar came to an end when Saint Veetock and his hamster legions smote the false Sigmar and destroyed the bubbleverse and lead the true believers back to the Old World.

Yep, our gaming group has been busting a** to get our store ready. Replacing pretty much all of the terrain we've had, and building new stuff has been quite the chore, but it's so worth it in the end.
I wish GW would get on the ball, and start doing things a bit more in advance. I hate having to scramble at the last minute for stuff

if you want to play in Ard Boyz, make sure to let your FLGS know, sometimes they dont bother running Ard Boyz as its not super financially benefiting (what with it being free )
or if your around the ATL, you can do it at my place, we host the regional round every year

Like others have said its not the prelims that are hard to find stores for, its the frakkin regionals. Last year I was lucky enough that my FLGS hosted the Fantasy Regionals and a shop about 2 hours away hosted the 40k regionals. The year before the closest ones where in different states more then 6 hours away .
