Some of the missions (like SM Surprise Attack) are designed with the enemy starting on the table, nothing allowed in reserve. This conflicts with the CD rule that forces you to keep half of your units in reserve and on top of that, the CD preferred half isn't on the table when the SM army rolls on... Surprise.. So my way of handling this as SM player would probably be to keep everything in reserve, which is weird. The surprise attack becomes even more surprising because you're not attacking yet...

Another solution would be to have the CD player deploy everything on the table but that would be overriding the codex, which I don't want to do.

How do you guys handle this?
