So, I picked up the battle missions book today. I have to say that Killteam is looking mighty fun. I'm thinking of putting an IG killteam together that consists of a Veteran Squad, led by Sgt. Basstone.

The only thing that stand in my way is a bit of confusion concerning his orders. How does this work in kill team? Since he can only order issues to the squad he's in, can he issue orders to the other models in killteam, because they act as separate units?

He works however you and your opponents agree he works.

I wouldn't advise going into a Killteam game and expecting to be able to RAW your way through it.

Interceptor Drones can disembark at any point during the Sun Shark's move (even though models cannot normally disembark from Zooming Flyers).

RAW, no. They are independent operators.

It is his squad as a kill team, but then he operates independently thus making himself his squad in kill teams...
so...
um...
Take Harker; he is a better choice anyways.

This is my Rulebook. There are many Like it, but this one is mine. Without me, my rulebook is useless. Without my rulebook, I am useless.
Stop looking for buzz words and start reading the whole sentences.

The special missions in the book are much like Apoc I think; there's probably not a lot of RAW answers to questions, so just work it out with your opponents.

Depending on the rule, we usually rule in favor of what would help a player (such as Exarch Powers/Icons working for the whole squad).
