Hey guys! A question about a not so very popular army, and this might be outdated with the current codex...but I've been looking up on thing tactics and such about DW and I see some people talking about 3 apothecary lists... and taking Allies. Now I dont know where to find allies in my codex, maybe I'm missing something? And...dont think I can take 3 apothecaries. It looks to me like just one. Is the info I'm looking at outdated? Or am I just missing something? Thanks for the help guys.

No and No.

DA fluff even states they don't use allies.

If you're playing a DW army, you can take 1 apothecary and he doesn't have the newest rules.

Take the banner instead.

Both Sammael and Belial allow one squad (ravenwing and deathwing respectively) to upgrade to have an apothecary and/or a company banner.

In addition to this, each IC you take allows a command squad to be taken, which can have an apothecary in it.

So you can have 3, although I'm not sure I understand why it would be such a popular choice.

The allies rules are in Codex: Witch Hunters and Codex: Daemonhunters, these are the only two forces the Dark Angels can ally with.

Interceptor Drones can disembark at any point during the Sun Shark's move (even though models cannot normally disembark from Zooming Flyers).

I have seen Black & White armies (1st & 2nd Co.s) that have two apothecaries. While the DA apothecaries are not as good as FNP it's still helpful when you run an army with low model count.

Should have stated just Belial, as pure DW.
