So recently my local group had an argument about whether or not a Chooser can stop a Outflanker (using Infiltrate, not scout) can deploy within 18" of the chooser. I checked the INATFAQ and there is nothing on the subject, so I check the interwebz and it seems to be contested in the same manor.

Discus.

No need for discussion. Something that outflanks is not an infiltrator, as it is not Deploying Via Infiltrate. As such, the CotS has no effect on them.

I'm quite sure Gwar! is on the ball here =\ they are outflanking not infiltrating, so it has no effect?

(at least thats what i think hes getting at...)

Arrival by Outflank is NOT depployment by Infiltrate.

Seriously, not an argument there, at all. Wilful disregard for the rules is required to conflate the two.

Long time SW player here. GWAR is right. Chooser does not do anything to outflankers.

Rule # 1 of infantry:
If you can't eat it or take it, break it.

Space Wolves: 4000 pts

Orks: 3000 pts

Tau: 1000 pts

As noted, Infiltrate is one of two special rules which give a unit access to the Outflank option, but Outflanking is not Infiltrating, so the Chooser of the Slain has no affect on it.
