I think the red on the death rollers somewhat conveys rust more than it does blood, what were you aiming for specifically?

Good fast paint scheme though, too often people go nuts making things orky when really the kits alone painted bare metal like these looks great.

I was going for more of a dried blood effect, it's actually very subtle, it jumps out more in the pictures for some reason
