Looking for someone who is going to ForgeWorld's Open day, to pick up the show-only Runt-Bot model for me, and ship it to the US.

I've got paypal, will reimburse whatever it costs plus a few extra dollars to help with gas/train ticket for whoever goes. (Show entry is stated as being free, but I'll cover that for you too )

I don't know the price of the model, but I can send some $$$ upfront, and will pay whatever remainder once you've got the actual price (and model in-hand).

I'd like one, too, should there be enough Dakkaites going to this show. Is there any limit to the number one person can purchase? Or can one Dakkaite handle things?

Hey guys, over in News & Rumor this is also being discussed, and it was mentioned that this model is NOT Open Day show-only, but available at all ForgeWorld shows this year, including Games Day in the U.S.

I'll be going to that, for what it's worth, and would be willing to pick this up for anyone who still wanted it but isn't on the east coast of the U.S. You'd have to pay in advance, of course... I don't have any idea how expensive this thing is, but at least the exchange rates have been good lately.

I am fairly sure that they are £20 each, they are show only models but it has been said (by someone who works at FW) if they run out of them on the day, you can order them (on the day) to be delivered when they cast more up.

I am planning on going to the open day, but, am not 100% sure if I will have the day off or the funds to make it. If I do I will try and grab a few extras and will put them up on Dakka beofre offering them up on Feebay.

Since there seemed to be many people wanting one of these, I looked into getting myself up there to do a Dakka pickup run, but the coach fees would set me back the better part of £40. So unless someone fancies paying for the trip, or you guys want to form a collective or something, it ain't too likely

I would consider chipping in for sure, but I don't know that I'd want to pay £40 for you to go there + cost of model + shipping

Hmmm...Tell you what, let's see if we can organize a collective here. I just pulled together a list of names of people who want one, let's see if we can raise the coach fares by having a penny from the masses rather than a pound from the rich. Anyone else who's interested, I'd advise you to chime in now, and we'll see if we can make this a possibility.

I'm not going to be making this trip it appears, for one simple reason. Reservations were apparently due by the 23rd, and as such, there is no guarantee that they would have the models available on my arrival. I wouldn't want to waste people's time, so in this instance, I shan't bother.


However, I can propose an alternative. Salute is being held in London next month, and the ForgeWorld crew will be attending and selling this model again. This time however, I shall take care to book well in advance. Therefore, closer to the date, if anyone has any Forgeworld stuff they'd like me to pick up (including the runtbot), I'll be more than happy to do so.
