I got a Chaos Rhino Yesterday, but when I glued the 'floor' to the tread, it ended up at an angle, despite the fact that I dry-fitted it several times to make sure that it was flat. I've tried heating it with hot water and a hair dryer to bend the thing, but that doesn't work, and I can't seem to get the glue off. (superglue) Does anyone have any ideas?

Call GW. It sounds like a pain the ass, but I had a problem with 1 engine on a valkyrie, and they sent me a whole new kit, over night!!!

If anything man, you get a whole new Rhino which you can use for bits. If someone gives you advice on how to fix it later on, hey now you have two.

try an Acetone, that should weaken the Superglue to the point of releasing the hold.

I've tried rubbing alcohol, and that doesn't work. Probably because the floorpiece is still flat against the 'wall', it's just bent. I may just call GW and tell them that the floor piece was warped a bit.

I'll try the acetone later, though.

Soak it in Simple Green over night. I know a lot of folks swear by it as a paint remover, but I've found that the only thing it really does *well* is break glue like nobody's business. I got a chaos predator off of ebay the other week and found out upon arrival that it had been glued by an epileptic monkey. Soaked it in Simple Green overnight, snapped 90% of the bonds (A couple were still strong enough that I wouldn't want to have forced them without more soaking) and started fresh.

I use the concentrated stuff, not the diluted. I've never had problems with it even softening plastic, much less melting or deforming it. Never left it in more than 2 days either though.

That sounds much better. Will I need to file off a bunch of glue residue, or will the Simple Green take care of that?

Rubbing alcohol isn't the same as acitone. Regardless, after soaking in Simple Green or fingernail polish remover you'll have snot like "goobers" that can easily be picked off by hand. Wash your plastic after and it'll be ready to reglue.

May I suggest using plastic cement for gluing two plastic parts together and leave the superglue for when you need to put on metal bits?

Provided you used superglue and not plastic glue (like Testor's), a 1:4 mix of Simple Green : Water will take care of superglue. This proved handy to me when I got a Land Raider Crusader sprue in a trade that was soaked in an inch of superglue.

Don't use Acetone! it will eat/weaken the plastic. be careful. i second the Simple Green suggestion.

I third simple green... also there is a product, god I cant remember the name but they sell it at walmart and its in the automotive section in a big purple jug, its a cleaning solution, essentially same thing as simple green, if you cant find it.
