I think it looks good for a list based on the battalion set. I would recommend looking through all the wood elf lists here to get an idea of where you want to go with it. I think most people run their elves in multiple small units. So the minimum for all their units, like 5 glade riders, 10 glade guard, and 8 dryads. Most times upgrading models to champions, musicians, or standard bearers really isn't needed either. Champs are usually to protect some character from needing to accept an unwanted challenge. Standard bearers are for that magic banner you want or when you are going for combat resolution (although eternal guard are the only real block infantry WE have). Musicians are used mainly for the units that are going to be baiting charges. Well enough of my babbling, I hope you enjoy your WE.

One note, you don't get to choose your spells for the spellsinger- you have to roll for them to see what you get.
However, you can always downgrade one spell to the number 1 spell (treesinging). I would do this every game, and also buy Calaignor's Stave- 25 points, and you can cast treesinging more than once (I'd do it twice, with 2 dice each time... you wizard generates 2, and you get 2 for your pool) each turn, and it's more effective!
Also on your noble, rather than talisman of protection, I'd get the Briarsheath (and buy him light armor and shield for another 4 points) or Gwytherc's Horn.
Overall a cool looking list from the battalion

As boogeyman already said, Wood Elf units are generally more cost effective when fielded at their minimum unit size. So, a unit of Dryads should be 8 strong, a unit of Glade Guard should be 10 strong and a unit of Glade Riders should be 5 strong. Also, I would never upgrade Glade Guard to Scouts, as they lose the S4 shots under half range.
Champions are only taken in close combat units which are joined by a Character that you don't want to accept a Challenge with, or in close combat units which have a lot of SCR.
Standard Bearers are usually only taken in big units that are difficult to beat in close combat. This is because you give up an additional 100 VP's if the opponent captures the Standard. Another reason to include a Standard Bearer can be a Magic Banner upgrade. For Wood Elves, the Magic Banners are generally not worth it though.
Musicians are the only command upgrade that can be worth it on units that aren't meant to be in close combat. Take a Musician if you think the unit will be fleeing a lot.
As RiTides noted, you can't pick the Spells that your Spellsinger gets, you have to roll for them. Luckily, you can always replace one of your rolls by a 1 (which is Treesinging). If you choose to take a Spellsinger, you should always take Calaingor's Stave. Multiple castings of Treesinging are very useful. Another thing to consider when fielding a Spellsinger is; where are you going to hide your Spellsinger? Obviously, you don't want your Spellsinger to get into combat, so it should be a unit that is decent at avoiding combats.
In my opinion, Wood Elf Nobles aren't worth it. I'd only field one as a Battle Standard Bearer in a double Treeman army. If you do decide to field a Noble, consider the following Magic Items: Hail of Doom Arrow, Helm of the Hunt, Briarsheath.

How do you know they are not fighting ogres? Any army can field something that has high toughness or armor saves and str4 isn't going to cut it always. That is why some str6 attacks would be nice. They have the battalion box so no treekin. Yes, scouts do lose the glade guard long bow, but do give you the option to scout which could be useful. I would probably just keep them as glade guard though since WE can move and shoot without the penalty and have a 30" range. Here is what I would probably run.
Noble - steed, light armor, shield, spear, and blight of terrors. (there are plenty of other builds that might be better)(maybe annoyance of netlings and merciw's locus) = 143 or (138)
Spellsinger - level 2, steed, dispel scroll, Calaingor's stave = 187
Noble - alter kindred, great weapon, hail of doom arrow, helm of the hunt = 154
12x glade guard = 144
12x glade guard = 144
6x glade riders = 144
12x dryads = 144
total = 1050
So you need to cut 50 points. I gave your noble and spellsinger steeds just so you could use the rest of those glade riders from your battalion. You could drop the steed from the singer, use the second build for the noble and drop 3 (in any combination) of glade guard or dryads. Anyway that list is just an idea. Your alter noble makes a great hunter and breaker. Have him shoot with the hail of doom arrow to soften the enemy up and then charge them next turn to finish them off or charge into the flank of someone that is already preoccupied. The other noble would be your general and will either run around causing terror or become a tarpit for enemy characters, since they would need 6's to hit (remember to be in a challenge for this) and then they don't get any strength bonuses if they do hit (although neither do you). Your spellsinger is there to really only there to cast treesinging (to help you or hinder the enemy) and magic defense.

ok so in your scenario I need not 1 but 2 nobles? Hmmm...not certain yet that I am planning on doing another noble yet. that would involve another 15 bucks for a figure that I don't have. not bad though. and as far as who i'm fighting. at first i'll be fighting chaos warriors.

Not really. You get 8 glade riders in the battalion and you are only fielding 6 of them. The other two just convert them a little more to represent the noble on steed and the spellsinger on steed. I am under the impression that you have the GW noble already, so you shouldn't have to buy anything. At least that is what I was shooting for.
