To start, I don't think I've been scammed or anything, I just think Strix is busy or has just plain forgotten about my commission :/

I commissioned StrixStruma to paint a squad of IG psykers for me back in December after seeing his post in the Painting Services thread. He kept me updated with weekly progress reports and finished the models on February 3rd (they should be in his gallery if photos are needed). I sent the other half of the payment to him, unfortunately it was not through Paypal, so I was just hoping somebody knew him outside of Dakka, as there is no way to file a dispute or anything.

I haven't heard from him in close to a month, the last PM I received was him saying the postal service was holding the package because the shipping address was wrong. After sending him my address again I haven't gotten a PM since. I've sent him 3 or 4 PMs since just trying to touch base to no avail.

So this is where I ask you, fellow Dakkites, for help. If anybody happens to know Strix and could get a hold of him for me it would be greatly appreciated. Like I said, I think this is just a misunderstanding and my commission might have been forgotten about or something, so no ill will or anything like that is in this transaction report. I'd just like my models back asap Thanks!

Thanks 'boss, seems the same stuff is going on with me too.

Family emergency, postal service and weather problems...

I'll PM Envy and see if he has any other contact info, other than that I'll just try to keep this transaction report open and bumped in case anyone else has any info

Is he in the US?
If so, then...
the last PM I received was him saying the postal service was holding the package because the shipping address was wrong.

This is not what happens. He's not being truthful.

If he got your address wrong, it's simply sent back to him.
If he did not have a return address on it, or it was not legible, they'd simply throw it away. There is no longer a "Dead Letters" area where it would go. They would NOT be "holding the package."

That's actually what I thought Magickal, but I was giving him the benefit of the doubt. I always thought they'd send the package back to you because that seems to be the purpose of a return address.

After seeing that other transaction report on him and getting confirmation that the USPS wouldn't be 'holding' my package I'm starting to think I'm going to have to resort to other measures to get my minis or to be compensated for them. I hate that it's come to this but I guess I have to.

I'm going to give him a couple more days before I start claiming mail fraud, hopefully he sees this thread or one of my many PMs.

PS - can anyone give me sort of a walk-thru on actually pursuing a mail fraud charge? Thankfully I've never had to deal with one until now...
