New as of this week.
Reason for being here:
Seen Dakka Dakka many times when I am looking for inspiration and figured finally I should join rather than lurk around out there.
I like to do things right, so I will not win any speed painting awards but I am fearless in kit bashing / conversion so that is where I would be found.
More than willing to get into the rules discussions since my friends just love to find a loophole and run with it (it is such great fun).
I mainly play 40k but usually go to events like Hot Lead to try other gaming.
Armies:
Started with chaos marines, got into demon hunters for friends to play against, then black templar and imperial guard to be drafted into the inquisitorial armies.
Myself:
Now officially an old guy who likes gaming of any type, likes my music (Industrial, Metal, New Wave, Dance, Dark Wave), bit of a computer expert and Excel spreadsheet wiz. Always a fan of any science fiction, was really into the cyberpunk stuff and am not afraid of the fantasy stuff as well. Was a bit of a Goth in the past and still cannot shake black being a favorite color. Got wife and kids keeping me "normal" whatever that means.
Not sure if I post or reply as a genuine attempt to help or to go "ah yes, I have suffered as you have, let us see if I had learned anything..." for every moment I seem smart represented two hours of being a moron and keep trying to shake the taste of those moments.
Looking forward to bugging the bunch of you.
