We've all heard how the person who designed the scenarios was also allowed to participate in the tournament... but is there any word on how he did?

I, for one, would be delighted to hear that he didn't place in the top three...

I would love it even more if he lost because his foot based list got tabled by a mech guard on Scenario 3.

That depends, what if the guy who wrote the scenario plays Dark Eldar or IG?

If the guy's army gave up 50+ kill points in scenario 3 then nobody can say he had a conflict of interests when he made scenario 3. People can still say it was a poorly written scenario, but if the author of the scenario played a 50+KP mech list at lest he could defend his broken scenario with an "I played a mech list in scenario 3" If that is the case it's a good thing that he played in Ard Boys.

If the guy's army gave up less than 20 KP in scenario 3 then it's a potential PR nightmare for GW. A lot of the player base would then view the creation of scenario 3 to benefit the author's army as a form of cheating, which might not be the case. The guy might have had honest intentions, and scenario 3 wasn't created just to benefit him. There is no way anybody can prove what his intentions were, but in the court of public opinion it's always guilty until proven innocent with everybody who got knocked out of the semi finals because of scenario 3 serving as judge, jury, and executioner.

Chaos isn’t a pit. Chaos is a ladder. Many who try to climb it fail, and never get to try again. The fall breaks them. And some are given a chance to climb, but refuse. They cling to the realm, or love, or the gods…illusions. Only the ladder is real. The climb is all there is, but they’ll never know this. Not until it’s too late.

It was already established that he was playing Nob Bikers

I thought he was playing foot orks with a squad of nob bikers? not a mass nob biker list.

still, not many KP from his list. It was a dick move on his part to screw over all mech armies just because he was using a foot list.

After the orbital strikes, Thunderhawk bombardments, Whirlwinds, Vindicators, fusion and starfire and finally Battle Brothers with flamers had finished cleansing the world of all the enemies of Man, we built a monastery in the center of the largest, most radioactive impact crater. We named the planet "Tranquility", for it was very quiet now.

That was definitely a dick move, I hope that really wasn't his true motivation.

Yay!!! More baseless bitching!!

I don't really understand what everyone is so furious about... I played a mech list (10 eldar tanks) in scenario 3 against a predominantly foot-based blood angels list... whats more is that I won the game by a 2:1 ratio.

Yes, it did hurt me a little, but it did not make it impossible (or even difficult really) for me to win.

I know people need their daily dose of Gamer Drama, but this is really a non-issue.

-GW is in the middle of moving to Memphis. 1/3 of the staff is moving/moved/unpacking. 1/3 is still in Baltimore. 1/3 isn't anywhere, as they didn't want to move, or couldn't move and have moved on to other jobs in the Baltimore area.

-The staff that is left have also been moved around, with some guys in tradesales and promotions moving over to running stores, and doing so with little or no staff. The jobs they were doing (IE: 'Ardboyz missions,) got tossed around like hot potatatoes.

-Two guys in trade sales got tossed the job of making up the missions. They got a day to do so. They already were working a full day at their regular jobs.

-Joe Neet was one of them, he mentioned on the IC boards that he and another guy only had a day to do the missions. I've personally known Joe for about a decade. He's a stand up guy, and would not pull something like everyone wants to blame on him.

And, after some talking with people at GW today about other things, it was mentioned that Joe didn't make up mission 3, the other guy did. So blaming it on Joe isn't fair.

And pretty sure that he didn't place.

Non Issue.

....and lo!.....The Age of Sigmar came to an end when Saint Veetock and his hamster legions smote the false Sigmar and destroyed the bubbleverse and lead the true believers back to the Old World.

Way to spoil a good drama thread with facts, mikhaila.

I think we're done here.
