The only place I know of around here is Jesters Cap but I have Krav Maga class at the same time they play so I won't be able to make it there very often, if at all.

So, are there any other places in the Buffalo/Niagara region that play on Friday, Saturday or Sunday?

Hobbytown USA in Amherst on Sherdian plays Friday 4:30-8:30. They are just off the 290 past the Northtown dealership complex. Unfortunately they only have like 4 tables, and 2 of them are usually being used for magic.

Other than that you'll have to go to Rochester for Millennium Games which I think plays on Saturdays, but I'm guessing you already know that (did you just move here from the Rock?) Oh and you CAN play on Monday at the cap, it's just that for some reason they've naturally separated into monday being fantasy and tuesday being 40k. There's no actual store rule, and the owner's don't care what you play (calendar says GW Game Nights). If you wanted to arrange to meet me (or anybody else who comes on Tuesdays) now we could probably make it happen.

And finally, I've just moved into East Aurora, and my furnished basement is roughly the size of the gaming area of Jester's Cap. So hopefully I can get working on getting a few tables and having my own game nights. If you know anybody interested in this let me know, I'll need help building terrain and such.

Where you by any chance at the 'Cap on tuesday? I saw a Tau player there I had never seen before.

Yea that was probably me, I have a red/black/gray army, played against a chaos army & made some terrible mistakes which lead to me losing quite badly. I go to RIT so I'm home for the summer but I used to play at the cap quite frequently. I'll probably try to make it to Hobby town once or twice a month I just can't play at the cap as Monday I have Krav from 7-9 and Tuesday from 6-8 so I kinda got boned on that one

I've made arrangements to meet a couple of the 40k guys today @ 4 as Jester's Cap if you want to come and sneak a game in.

How is it at Jesters Cap? Ive never really gone there because I always had scheduling conflicts. But now im free seeing as I just graduated UB finally.

And @ eNvY Id love to talk more about your basement settings as Im more looking for a club. I just started making my own terrain so I would gladly donate that and make more and so forth. Get back at me if interested.

It's good, people show up @ around 4:30 and play till around 9:30. 6 varied tables, not very big though. We're actually hosting 'Ard Boyz semifinals interestingly enough.

Lots of great guys there though. There's no TFG or anything, and a couple kids who don't quite know the rules yet but will gladly listen to an elder player. Most of the guys are friends outside of the hobby as well. When there's odd people out for games you'll catch them playing Magic on the side.

As for the basement thing, I need to figure out what I want to do about tables. My stepfather is always into building stuff and always liked my hobby (he used to paint my models) so perhaps I can talk him into building a couple.

Most likely I'll buy a couple folding tables and then build the boards on top. I have enough room for like 4-5 tables + 1 or two in a side room, eventually

Once I figure out the cost $$ of buying a 72x30 table or two I'll figure out what I wanna do.

We also do a warhammer weds at my house off of hertel ave with 6-8 people nearly every weds. Sometimes we'll do a terrain or painting weds or something.

Every game played costs 1$ which goes directly to the terrain funds.

Does anyone in Buffalo get together to play some games of Necromunda?

I played 40K orks about 9 years ago as well, and haven't even obtained the updated Codex or heard about the new rules.

I also have a full time job and that would not allow for the Hobbytown USA gaming times considering they start at 4pm :(

Been outta the gaming groove for some years now and would like to get back into it.

It would appear that Jesters Cap is the place to go for most of the games then....thanks!

Just wanted to update this. I've purchased an entire set of forest/grass terrain from a fellow dakkaite, enough to modestly cover 1-2 tables. I have found a perfect sized folding office table to setup a gaming board on IN my garage. Finally, a trip to the local Valu store and I can get 2'x4' boards for about $9 a piece. With all of this in mind, I plan on having a gaming table setup by next monday (9/13).

If anybody is interested in coming over to play (East Aurora), shoot me and pm and we can exchange contact information. If the weather is good we can open the garage door and play out there. There is a dedicated beverage (beer) fridge right in the garage and smoking is allowed. If not, we can always setup in the cozy basement (with couches!).

Oh, and just to try and connect names/faces with usernames, if you've been into Jester's Cap the last few Tuesday's, I'm the dark brown haired 5 o'clock shadow sporting dude playing Iyanden/Footdar. I'll be there tomorrow at ~4:00 as well.

...for just over 70 bucks you can cover a 4 x 8 ft table with those excellent Zuzzy Terrain Mats!

I have a 4x4 ft one myself and love it.

4x6 ft is only 50 bucks.
