Well i just bought a bunch of dnd minis with 3.5 stat cards, and I play pathfinder, and do not own the "bestiary"..... Will the "monster manual" work? are the same fundamentals the same?
HELP ME!

it'll definitely work. the only real update that i can think of that you'll have to do is calculate the CMB and CMD of the monsters for any special attacks the characters might make or it does (like grappling or tripping).

I've heard that Pathfinder have retooled some of the monster types, like undead, but do not know the specifics. I've played Pathfinder PCs against 3.5 monsters without a hitch but as a DM I tend to paper over the technicalities of the rules for the sake of the narrative sometimes. Maybe I just didn't notice the problems? I've also heard that Pathfinder characters are tougher than 3.5 ones so CR (always a nebulous concept) would be off.

Pathfinder and D&D 3.5 are most certainly comparable. Pathfinder in face has a whole section in one of its core rulebooks iirc devoted on the minor conversion work needed for 3.5 stuff into pathfinder.
