Wow! I need to try that sometime, I dont like the chaos black that I have right now.

Sorry for digging out this thread, but I followed the guide on priming with gesso, as my current living situation makes it hard for me to spray-prime.

I ran into a small problem. The paint and underlying gesso scratch off very easily. I used the Liquitex Black Gesso, not thinned down.
I tried it on metal, resin and GW plastic. Same result on all. Easy to scratch off.

Any help?

Have you tried washing the models before you prime them with gesso?

Yes. Every model is washed in warm soap water before assembling, regardless of material.
