the problem with the aquila names is that the birdy isn't a unique icon, yknow? everyone has them.
and putting "guard" into a chapter name is confusing. might help, tho.

from the theme names, i like wind walkers best. the order thing is too unwieldy. how will you call the guys? "charge, polies!" "charge, bladers!" "charge, members of the order of the pol-" *BOOM*

First, you were asking about holes in your fluff - Chapters were legions until Roboute Guilliman seperated them- after the death of the emperor, so the minor change you might be looking for is this was a (depending on preference) flanking/forward assault/rearguard section of the DA fleet that got lost in the warp, and showed up in time to get flicked off into their own chapter with a predeliction towards their purpose in the original Legion. Sounds like you like the Vanguard thus I'd go for a Shrike/DA Successor Chapter conglomeration.

For ranged weapon preferences Dark Angels have been plasma inclined- however you could certainly pick your own inclination, leaving the inference that the DA's would have been more balanced had you guys not gotten lost, and subsequently split off.

Guardians of the Covenant
The Consecrators
Angels of Redemption
Angels of Absolution

Repentance is still up for grabs. Contrition, Remorse, Penitent also. Angels Penitent is actually pretty decent given the whole Unforgiven back story, though maybe a little too overt, until compared to Angels of Absolution and Redemption.

Okay, a late update

Well here's the thing, i just bought AoBR at weekend and iv found some really old scouts that i have green stuffed loin clothes and hoods on (pics soon)now i really need to get an organised paint scheme. i just wasnt sure about the grey-white thing. i deefinatly having like glowing ice blue eyes and maybe eldar gems on them and stuff but i really am asking for a help to design a winter space marine colour scheme. if you could do one on the GW space marine website with the flash painter and then tell me what colour you think the cloth should be (see below pic), i'd really appreciate it! who knows, i might name my captain after you #
