Only if it's mounted to the hull - if the pintle is on a turret, then it gets the full 360... and spinning cupolas get the turret vote, unless glued in (but then it wouldn't be a spinning cupola, would it?).

I'd vote for the dreadnaught arm if you were willing to do the conversion work to get it looking right. I think the low profile look on it has some potential that can be brought out.

ninjalawyer's Razorback turret is the best suggestion so far.

Thanks a bunch guys... After seeing the Dreadnought arm and thinking it looked really good, and then stumbling across a dreadnought missile launcher arm in my bitz box today, I now need to buy a bloody Land Raider to mount it on. I don't even play Space Marinez at the moment god dammit!!!

It just looks so cool

Can you find anything (other than the rather questionable DA FAQ) to suggest that GW's cupolas are supposed to spin?

Because the Marine vehicle assembly instructions have it glued in place.

That, and every pintle-weapon that GW has in the current range is mounted on a cupola... which would make the rulebook statement on pintle-mounts a little pointless, really. They could have simply saved the bother and stated that pintles have a 360 degree arc because they're mounted on a rotating cupola.

I would think instead that when they said 'turret' they actually meant 'turret' rather than 'cupola'...

My point being - regardless of the whole "pintle issue" - is that unless it is specified in the entry (which it is not) then weapons are treated as modeled.

Right... which means the MM is on a pintle mount... which means a 45 degree arc.

Well i hate to say it but tank commanders cupolas and the loaders usually spins its kinda useless having a weapon with a narrow arc if they wanted it fixed they would have co axed it with sumthing a pintle mount has full 360 everyone i play with treats as such

You necro'd a thread so old that Stelek posted it. Did you completely ignore the helpful Dakka pop-up warning that this thread was super-old and that you probably shouldn't post?
