Ok, updates at last, not much though, simply added to the face - raised certain areas, sorted out his lip and eyes and moulded the horns on for now.
the arms have been given thier final extension before they get hands!
so with all luck (providing i can get his wep made) he should get his very own set of hands tomorrow.
oh, and also added more of his guts since it seemed like i didnt add enough

Work left:

Decided to go with a mace, so i need to get started on that, i cant do that hand until the mace is done as ill sculpt the hand onto the mace and then the model, however his right hand can be done.
he needs some patches of skin added, then boils and other afflictions.
needs some armour to be added.
and other than that just working out any other parts that need work.

The face feels a bit off-putting. Slightly reminiscent of a muppet o.o...

I'd consider going with a big gaping maw with rows of teeth. Something a bit less...cuddly ^_-.

You are also getting into a very static pose. Feels like he's sort of standing about not partaking in any wholesale slaughter of innocents!

For an early sculpt though, you're definitely on track to much success with future projects. Looking forward to seeing the addition of the skin and armor.

thats what im thinking too, just deliberating the best way of cutting off the head and starting again.
now trying to think of a good way to make teeth as the gs would be a pain in the ass with soo many teeth so close together.

the pose is very static, but the next one will be alot more lively, had the problem of working over an ogre base on this, so couldnt do too much.


on a note about the head:
im now thinking of making the top section then adding the bottom jaw afterwards, this way the teeth wont get in the way so much.

ok, elmo has been be-headed and 2 new jawplates have been made.
once dry i can make the gums and add the teeth.

I'm very sorry... the name 'Jim Henson' leapt into my head on first glance at the picture too. I have been watching Dark Crystal lately... it may just be the friendly smile and underbite.

I also suggest an open mouth, if you're going with that style, full of teeth, dripping acidic venom and more tongues than any extradimensional warp-monster has any right to possess...

I like the feet. The arms look a bit odd and 'furry', but the same technique looks good on the torso. I suppose it's up to you.... good work.

You did cut of the head?
I think you could have fixed it by putting plasticard teeth jutting up from the lower jaw, and a fat toungue hanging out between those...

Well, my tip is anyway; make plasticard teeth.

might of done, but its far easier to re-do it, then i can make it less muppet like lol.

bottom and top jaw are now fixed and waiting for gums.
found some good teeth at the expense of my nids.
stealer claws are perfect size.

The green-fu is strong in you... And it had a nasty take on things . Really like the piglike face!

Kind of reminds me of the Rot Daemon and Plague King by Troll Forged Miniatures!

A bit too big, but if you make it look like it is on its chest then it will look awesome.
A good example is the flood in Halo, their head is on their chest and although it is big, its shift from the norm makes it striking and interesting.

Besides that, very nice sculpting. How many packets of Green stuff would you say you used for that? Thank god for eBay amirite?

buying the GS on ebay for £3 a pack, and i still havent used a whole pack yet lol, thanks to the ogre base model i saved alot of time and money.

75% GW stuff or conversions including GW stuff.. as long as no more that 25% of the model is not GW or self sculpted..
