@jp400 Oh, you meant Valiant plastics. Yes, I agree that they look really nice.
But unfortunately they don't produce any Soviets (yet?), which was the deal-breaker for me since I'm planning to play the Eastern Front (i.e. Germany vs Soviet Union).

If I had been looking to play the Western Front or the African Front, they would have been an excellent choice.

Ah yes, now we are on the same page I will admit that some 1/72 companies suck really bad.. but the same can be said with every scale.

I do hear that they are working on Soviets, but as of right now no date is set for release.

@Accipiter270 I would have to disagree. While I do know now that GW charges exorbitant prices for their miniatures, white metal figures from non-GW companies still cost more than plastic figures from non-GW companies.

But then again, most companies that make miniatures for wargaming (as opposed to making miniatures for modelers) do not have the capital to invest in all those expensive equipment required to produce plastic miniatures.

So while there are some exceptions like Perry Miniatures and Valiant, most non-GW wargaming miniature manufacturers cast in white metal.

After deciding on 15mm miniatures, I've been picking up figures from Battlefront, QRF, Old Glory and Quality Casting.

Once I get around to painting all of them, I'm planning to write up a comparative review of them.
