Actually I really enjoyed doing the Rhino, but this Monolith is just such a sucky model. Slab sided, devoid of detail and full of that horrible green plastic. The fit is also pretty poor in places, which is odd when you consider how little there is to fit together. Most annoyingly it's also used up 3 pots of silver (Mirthrel, Chainmail and Boltgun) and most of my black wash...

...on the plus side, I've finished the damn thing.

If I was to use my wife, naked or otherwise as inspiration for painting boring figures, I'd soon have an ex-wife, her tolerance of the hobby only goes so far.
The method I use is to paint in front of the TV but at the same time paint a figure I want to paint, a bit of each at a time.

I have 2 seperate ways.

Way 1 is with my imperial guard. As im only able to paint 1 at a time (lots of mixing and never enough paint to paint multiple models) i find its fun to doode. sounds odd, but bare with me. whilst ive ;lost interest, ill just draw some random pictures, until somethings perked my interest and i start again.

my other way is with my tyranids. As they all have the same colour scheme throughout the entire army, i just paint everything at the same time. after you get past the dull bits of painting the carparace and skin, you can spend time painting all the bone at once. this is good at keeping interest as you can literally see your army progressing fast after each session of painting . keeps the interest, just takes a long time.
