If the player can get his stuff into position to achieve the other objectives, he does so. If he fails to, then he failed to earn them.

I like it. I'll try that out on Saturday's tournament, and see how it goes.

I will just add my $.02 and say that the rules say that a tabling is a victory "Regardless of the mission objectives."

Now I appreciate the TO's right to change this, but will say that generally weird things happen when TO's mess with the core rules

At least you're trying it first, props on that

I know all about that! I generally write new missions every week for the tournaments I run, but what we're getting at here, is with 'ard Boyz, how many objectives, and which ones you control, not only affect the game you're playing, but your victory over all. Like earlier mentioned in the case of Necrons phasing out, if you end the game when they disappear, there's a likelihood of it ending in a tie, if it's on an early enough turn, when it should be a major victory/massacre instead.

I do weird stuff all the time with my local tournaments (in fact, I get a LOT of positive feedback in general for the odd things I do) but with 'ard Boyz, and if I run any RTs in the future, it'll be strictly rule book only, plus FAQs and whatnot.

By the way, would there be any interest in me posting my custom scenarios anywhere? I'm not sure exactly where they would go, but I've been wanting to post a few for a bit now to get some feedback from a larger group.

Tabling your opponent could earn you "at worst" a Major Victory. In addition, allow the game to continue going to its full conclusion so they can try to achieve Massacre objectives.

Every tourney I've played in, though, has made tabling your opponent = full battle points.

By all means, post them!
