Add a sword to his back. That would make him SOO much more kick ass.

Great job, and a surprisingly simple but good technique. With a little change, it could be used for some cool cloaks or capes for Space Marines, or others. I especially like how he isn't in a power pose, he is leading/screaming orders at his men. To me, all the GW figures look like they're in a heated assault fight, which is good during the assault phase, but bad for when they're supposed to look like leaders, not crazy good fighters. Keep up the good work! I expect more, and I will be following you quite closely.

Heh, so he looks both fat and with a coat that's too big? I think this just proves that this guy really is large and in charge

heh, it would look cool. Unfortunately I already have the one and there's no way in hell I'd dig it out just so I could put it on his back.

Thanks.

So, I actually noticed while I was doing this how much he was starting to look like a senior officer. It wasn't until I added the sash and the peak to the cap that it became much more obviously a commissar. As I said at the beginning, I wanted someone who leads from the rear, like a real commissar (if you're not in the rear, how can you shoot people who fall back?), not like yet another dude in what you call a power pose.

You know, it's funny. I usually pose my models not for what they will look like standing still or in close combat, but what they look like as they're charging in. Perhaps it's because I've done so many battle report pictures that depict the charge, and virtually none of the long, drawn out close combat itself (perhaps because my close combats are over too fast). My priests have the pose of eviscerator hefted, ready to chop someone, but I'd imagine that when a commissar charges in, his first order of business is to make sure that absolutely everyone charged in.

I lol'd at the propaganda poster. All it needs is the text written in russian.

Your genestealers are attacking my Dark Eldar? Jokes on you, mate, the Dark Eldar already took their pants off!

In your squads, doing the chainsword tango

I like the way the feel of the model is moving in the direction he is pointing, rather than a static point and yell. Very nice GS. Love it

You should make a russian AND a german version of the poster.

Wouldn't that make the bag bigger? And tougher on the inside?

Oh my God, these bags are getting harder and harder to *insert random activity here) your way out of
