as much as i hope for an uneventful deployment this time i am sad to say i am sure it wont be. i am linking up with my platoon that has been out here for 2 months, and we just sent three home last Monday.
so first day back here and this base looks verry much the same. but wow have things changed 2 story barracks here!?!?!? wow last time i was here only the Brits had them.
the mods must have deleted the original post, but who ever says "I hope you get Shot"?

Idea: on your free time, I know a way that you can make tons of money. Simply bag up a few ounces of sand, and sell it online as "high quality modeler's sand". Or if the military has any of those metal ammo containers laying around, sell it in those, and charge extra for the "authentic battle containers".

the sand is crap  add water and it becomes mud cant send ammo cans home either thanks for the idea

haha, a friend of mine is in 'stan right now - not with the army but with some civilian dev. assistance team or something like that. He took some miniatures and paints with him to use his spare time (and he seems to have plenty) to get his army painted. We already joked about GW selling their stuff in 'stan. Image someone talking on the street "I need a few mortar teams." or something like that ...
