Time for an update on the Void Dreamer project which is by now 99-100% finished (I may decide to add a few more details but the paintjob is now good enough for where I am aiming, i.e. tabletop level + consistency with the rest of my army)
The effect he is holding in his hand is actually made of clear epoxy (it doesn't really show on the pic) and contains a small glass bead* which I painted in purple and is supposed to be an opening webway portal.

*whose normal fate should have been to spend an eternity between ethanol washes and spreading bacteria on agar plates ... guess what I do for a living! Hint: micropipettes, test tubes and benchtop centrifuges are awesome tools if you want to start working with clear epoxy.
