That would be only if it said "must re-roll...". It does not, it says may.

I was also thinking of similar rules like lightning claws its says re-roll any FAILED wounds, however preferred enemy is worded verbatim to warptime. Looks like my friend was playing it "wrong" all along till the latest

Guess there is a reason why he hardly used warptime and stuck with lashes of submission (which took a nerf that certainly came outta nowhere!)
