This is the Guard P&M blog I've been meaning to get off the ground for some time. Thanks for the additional impetus! The fluff stuff is right below the group shots of the whole army.
Additional fluff stuff that I couldn't fit into the summary:
Calabrene regiments will use flame weapons when conditions permit, but as hostile environment specialists they often fight on worlds with no free oxygen. When they do, they use the acid-throwers that they trained with on their own airless battlefields. These devices work similarly to the Bane Wolf cannon, but rather than aerosolizing the chemicals into a mist that can penetrate armor but has a short effective range, the thrower sprays a gel form of the acid with similar physical properties to napalm, allowing it to be fired coherently over longer ranges.
The dust storms of Calabrene render man-portable laser weaponry almost useless. Beam dissipation reduces their lethal range to a few meters at best. Thus, Calabrene regiments train with autoguns, though they are passingly familiar with lasguns as well. Calabrene units still mount lascannons and multi-lasers, as they can carry the equipment to overcharge the lasers and make them as effective as standard conditions.
