Hay what did I miss!

OK so thongs got a little busy out here and my hobby had to be put on hold, the miss did get done, only the tervigon remains to be painted.
The other 3 member of the tale of four games have yet to finish month one so I can't say they were much encouragement but these things happen.

So onwards and upwards we look.

The next gleaming pile of stuff that needs painting is my necrons, I originally painted loads for apoc release way back when I worked for gw, and since then there have been some lovely new models. Just after the release I painted some for a tournament and began to revisit the apoc ones with a much nicer colour scheme. I still have plenty to repaint and some bits and pieces laying about in need of love.
Up first are some close to completion immortals

These are very close to done, and even in this state got second in best painted :-)
On the list to do by the end of 2012 are these and the dark angels from the dark vengeance boxed set for a friend

Let's see how it goes..

OK so a week .later and the first bit of progress, let's hope I can keep this up, weekly updates would be good (fingers crossed)

So I have completed 5 of the immortals, and 4 more tactical marines. I am very pleased with the immortals, not that you can see much on the photo, unfortunately I am forced to use the camera on my Xoom :( for this week.

So my promise for the year is going well, with only 5 immortals and 3 marines left before I get stuck into the dark vengeance characters, which I am rather looking forward to.
The marines are pretty basic but they are for a friend to sell so they are decent gaming quality, the characters will hopefully be much nicer...

Thanks for listening, more nonsense to come soon!

Ok so not as much progress as last week, but having had to revise for the most exciting insurance related exams over the last week and finding a new dedication to Skyrim I have found my self rather busy!

Still here is some work done:

the last immortals are awaiting the glowing cables and lots of work to do to finish the marines.
Still I work on inspired by the fact that i get to paint the terminators, still not sure how to do them yet but we shall see!

The aim by next week is to have the marines all finished and the immortals done! fingers crossed!

Ok so there has been progress!

It may have been over a week, I haven't had a huge amount of time and alot of it has been spent trying to obtain a daylight bulb for my painting lamp, to no avail mostly! however after 3 days of searching my next door neighbour has piped up that he has a spare! so now i have decent lighting to paint at my desk outside of daylight hours!

so having had an evening to paint while the Mrs is in London and I finally finished the immortals!

I have been looking into playing more warmachine so have been trying to resist starting to paint them until i finish the marines, still got 3 left to paint before i get onto the terminators. finding the motivation is getting more challenging especially with my mind on lots of other projects.
I really need to stay focussed, but i have now got a ruined tower on my desk that for some unknown reason i am now painting! AARRGHH too much hobby!

Howdy folks, it has been a difficult couple of weeks, and a number of personal issues have prevented me getting a lot done, but having had a bit of time spare today and having regained the ability to get out of bed I was reasonably productive, I have completed the tactical marines for my dark vengeance commission.

I have also had a bit of time to test a colour scheme for my cryx force for next year, I'm not overly set on it, but it is quick and simple.

And the terminators are all base coated and a quick test has given me an easier scheme to use, going from rhinox hide through graveyard earth to bleached bone, pics to follow :-)

OK so in the last week I haven't really done much painting but I have however invested in new painting storage, including places for tools, airbrush and all the other stuff I will be using!
and a mega bargain from the b&q sale!

I also managed to top up some paints and get the first termies done, however haven't had time for photos!

also here is the slayer that is missing from the last post!

however I'm pretty set on going for a pale rotted green colour scheme

Again a lack of pictures in this update, I again haven't had a huge amount of free time to get painting done, but I was roped into going to the winter warmer epic UK tournament so I had to get some bits painted for that, including 12 infantry, 10 genestealers and converting a patriarch for a genestealer cult, which I managed to get done in an evening, then after some play tests I decided not to take the army!
So at 6am on the morning of the tournament I had to paint 2 bane blades without waking the missus! But with those done, I managed to get to the tournament on time and place 8th, and win most sporting :-)

Hopefully more pictures next time.

Morning all!

Well it has been a stressful week and i needed to relax a little by doing some painting. so I have set aside the Terminators (although I have made a little more progress) and did a couple of colour tests for upcoming projects, firstly is a repaint of my epic guard army, it is painted but very basically and i'd like to have a bit more of a wow factor so they are getting a new lease of life and will be getting some genestealers done to make them useable as a genestealer cult!

slightly crappy photo, but until april i'm still stuck in a corner :(

I have also begun some tests for a scheme on my Cryx for warmachine, this is the second test and a much lighter scheme, this is the first stage with weathering and such to be added later!

Hope you enjoy
I'll be back soon!
