I had some time to acquire yet more models over Christmas and have a whole three armies unpainted! (Well six if you count space marine chapters as different armies! And my fantasy battles WoC army that I'm starting up again!) And that is simply unnacceptable!
I have now made a promise to not buy anything else until more of my existing things are painted! (Will almost certainly be broken.)

So what did I buy over my Christmas holiday?

1x- Dark Eldar Battleforce
1x- WHFB dark elf shadowblade (to make a custom archon)
1x- Dark Eldar Haemonclulous
1x- Razorwing Jet Fighter
1x- box of Incubi (Christmas present from my awesome mum!)
1x- team of three XV15 stealth suits (Also from my mum!)
1x- WHFB Harry The Hammer (for my WoC)

And...

The realm of battle.

Already started on it and it's looking pretty good so far! I can't wait to game on it!

So...
This weekend I'm going to get around to more progress on my Realm Of Battle and progress on some Space Marines, Tau, and my Dark Eldar, so watch out for that!

Hey guys!
It's been a heck of a long time since I've updated this project log and I haven't much to show for my absence.
I've bought a load of new toys but haven't been able to get motivated to paint everything!

I started my Dark Eldar and have almost a full squad of Wyches painted up.
I haven't made any progress on my Iron lords or my Tau (lazy....)
I have most my Fantasy Warriors Of Chaos bought but hardly any painted.

Buuuut...

Something good has come of this and they are actually making me stop buying more kits and get the stuff I have done! (WOW!)

The first projects I have are two kill teams I'm working on.
One is an Astral Claws kill team which comprises of seven sternguard (sounds like nothing but it packs a punch if used right!)
The other is a Star Phantoms one which I think will be tactical marines and a land speeder tornado.

My other project is a new Chaos Space Marine army that will be a legion of my own devising.
They are going to be allied with a Small Warband of World Eaters that is led by Kharn the Bloody.
The idea behind it is that he and his berserkers are joining my legion on a crusade through planets lost to the imperium during the Horus Heresy and will be wearing their old colours to strike fear into the hearts of the inhabitants of the planets.

Anyway, enough with the rambling, you want to see pics?

Here is a model I have been practising my ability to paint faces on, his left eye looks more wonky on the photo, but I'm probably not going to fix it as it's just a test.

Now, here is something I am insanely proud of, I spent quite a lot of time getting this to what I think is a decent display standard, he isn't quite finished as I haven't done his weapons, but his weapons and head are pinned in for easy changing.

Hey guys! I finished my test Star Phantom!
Well, almost finished, he just needs a few touch ups and his base finished, and maybe some dust up his legs











What colour should I paint the rim of his base?
And also should I leave it as it is or add a light dusting of snow?
