Sweet, another wargames club in Auckland. Never heard of East Auckland Elites, anyone play Battlefleet Gothic, Epic, Infinity or narrative 40k there?

East Auckland is the second biggest club in Auckland behind City Guard. Its mostly 40k based and dominates the NZ 40k tournament scene (the majority of the top 20 in the country are from EAE, and almost the entire NZ ATC team was from EAE), with a similar number of players to CG 40k (just without the huge number of Fantasy players to back it up). Tbh people are generally just keen for games in general, the style/type of game is very much up to the players. We do get the odd game of Fantasy (jumped for a bit when 8th hit, then died to almost nothing) and recently there has been a huge boom in the number of Warmachine/Hordes and X-Wing games/players. We also have a decent number of card games (some Magic, quite a few less common games get played as well) and board games (pretty much everything). I know there are a few guys who have Battlefleet Gothic fleets and Epic armies and I know they are keen for games (I've seen Adeptus Titanicus played a few times), you would just need to organise it beforehand. I think a few guys have dabbled with Infinity and some of the other newish skirmish scale games but its not regularly played/people don't have armies (a bunch of us have Malifaux armies but that's about it).

When and where mate? I found an old forum post saying Remuera commerce club, every second sunday from 2-8, is that still accurate?

Also Darth, getting more and more interest from X Wing players here at cityguard. Sooner we get the when, where and how the better

Yeah that's still accurate, its on this Sunday afaik. Mostly we just use a Facebook group to keep in touch now, we did have a forum for a while but it didn't get much use - people just used the CG one for most general discussion and for letting people know about events since it has a much larger reader base. The group/page should be pretty easy to find, should be able to find it from the CG page actually, most of the CG guys know us if you ask at CG - we work with Phil and the other CG leaders together for several tournaments and we occasionally have inter-club challenge days (aka us beating the hell out of them at 40k).

Our last club (two Sundays ago) was probably the biggest I have seen it, mostly because of the influx of people playing X-Wing. There were 8 or so people playing I think (they played one huge game, which was total chaos) + I think a few more guys have fleets but were playing other games.
