It should be note that neither Aun'Va nor Shadowsun can be used as allies for Farsight Enclave armies, but the reverse is apparently not true.
It should be noted that it is very debatable as GW use the term Army in many different ways. Also my Enclaves book says the must include both those characters. I'm guessing yours says the same.

I thought the ECPA on him didn't count towards your limit because he was one of the 8 so you could have another ECPA on another riptide for a total of 2 max with O'vesa?

No 1 each per army.

They re-worded that in a FAQ, so the TFGs could not take advantage of it.

The IC are not counted towards that limit.

The "signature systems" rule is not what limits you to one of each signature system....... Yes you are prevented from having more than one ECPA even if the one is on the named Riptide.

As above. This is something people get consistently wrong, as they don't fully read exactly what the signature systems rule states.

Alternatively if your support units are getting evaporated around you, it might be wise to consider finding somewhere else to play?

FARSIGHT ENCLAVES
Farsight (165p)
O'Vesa (305p)
Riptide - IA, TL fusion blasters, EWA, stim injector, ECPA, 2 Shielded Missile Drones (305p)
ALLIES
Commander - 2 flamers, PENC, CCN, MSSS, VRT, DC, NWSJ, Iridium Armour, 2 Gun Drones (209p)
Look about right?
Drop the gun drones, the regular Riptides Drones, and drop the Drone Controller and one flamer on the commander and pick up a Shield Generator and Stims.

Actually he only has to drop 1 riptide drone and the second ECPA that he can't have, and he will have the points to do what you said.
Which I agree with what you are suggesting him to take.

Well the Flamethrowers take up 2 hard points, the VRT and DC take up the other two. The only things benefiting from the DC are the gun drones and has to open 2 hard points to get Stims and Shield generator. Smart players will be smart to try and take out the Support'o as that is where the real glue to this unit lies.

VRT does not use a hard point. But I agree the controller is un needed unless they are marker drones. Automatically Appended Next Post: Never mind you are right on the VRT. I remembered wrong. Still agree on the drone controller. Don't forget that Iridium armor makes the bearer T5 so it's a little harder to get Insta killed.

I'd generally think that is one of the drones explicit purpose. Pilots are not as expendable as machines are in the tau empire? That said, I was joking.

I was going to comment but it really is pure fluff... yeah... the greater good is very strange and the Tau dedication to it is testimony to brainwashing at it's finest.

8th made it so I can no longer sway Tau onto the side of Chaos, but they will eventually turn aside from their idea of the Greater Good to embrace the Greatest of pleasures. |
