Except no-where in the BRB does it allow for different types of modifiers, the TWC statline contains a modified Str. The wargear entry for the TWM tells us so. RAW you have to account for that increase in Str when applying the x2 Modifiers. as that makes two modifiers, you simply have to.

Nobody is talking about different modifiers but you.

The wargear entry for the TWC is irrelevant. They are str 5 on their characteristic. Therefore you simply double it.

If they were Str 4(5), like the old toughness wording, then you would be correct.

Ok, so the Wargear entry for Power Armour is Irrelevant cause it already shows 3+ Sv?
Ok, the Terminator Armour entry is Irrelevant cause it already shows 2+ sv?

That statement is frankly worrying. Wargear is always important, and so are its entries.

As for the two modifiers, it clearly states in the TWM entry: "... increases their S, T, A and Wounds characteristic by 1 (these bonuses are already included...)..."

Then the TH says Str x2

And multiple Modifiers rules says; "If a model has a combination of rules or wargeat that modify a characteristic..."

TWM is wargear, TH is wargear... Therefore we have a combination of wargear in effect. Strictly RAW thats it. RAI you can argue the use of adding, subtracting, increasing... (ie different wording) but not the fact it modifies

It is only Wargear for models that are not TWC (lords, WGBL, Priests etc)

TWC are a Cavalry type unit automatically given the TWC mount and a Str of 5

Characters and ICs on the mount are given +1 to Str Profile when they select to add a TWC mount to their wargear

They are inherently str 5. So it doubles to 10.

I'm sure an FAQ will come out eventually as it did before to support this.

I'm done with you. Have fun trying to complicate the game.

Except that the mount is listed as wargear for the TWC. Also it is a flawed logic, stating that swiftclaws and skyclaws don't have bikes or jump packs as equipment but any characters do.

That is demonstrably false.

They are inherently Str4 with a Increase of 1 from their Wargear that is the Thunder Wolf Mount.

They even note that if a Thunder Wolf Mount is listed in the wargear for a unit the bonuses are already included...

RAW:

It's S10 since it increases the strength. Things like fc add +1 since it isn't an ongoing effect.

This debate has been done before

There was an FAQ that gave Wolf Lords/ Iron Priests S10 but it's since been removed.

The best answer is to clear it with your opponent before you play a game.

Mod lock before this becomes a repeat of other threads?

Restating this. The thread is already going downhill..

This.

If we could get this locked please. Anyone who is curious about the two irreconcilable points of view can refer to previous threads on the subject.
