The building itself is never immune to these things, but it is not the Target of the attack at any point in time. I understand the solution of 'resolve the attack as if it was against a Building' but the Rule lacks any specific instruction to do so. We are told to resolve the attack against the Projected Void Shield, which isn't the name of the Building but an object defined within the Special Rule itself. There is nothing within that definition telling us to treat it like a Building or a Vehicle, the core problem with this Rule. It also fails to specifically instruct us how to handle the sudden existence of a vehicle-type profile and the shot it is intercepting, the very purpose of the Rule, so it clearly is a poorly written concept and nothing more. Any problems that arise with this Building should always be discussed with your opponent. My answer to the problem: Owners of this Building should treat the Shields as a Vehicle, it is the far easiest solution that causes the less amounts of conflict during the Game. The Void Shield Generator is a very nice little tool when used properly with a gun-line or horde Army, and has only gotten better as the last Frequently Asked Questions to ever be released put one debate to bed in heavy favour of the shields. There is no need to try and make these things even more powerful by granting immunity to a whole bunch of things, especially as these are the few things that a handful of armies have that can counter the shell provided.
